When deciding on which size would be most suitable we always suggest measuring as it's the best way to find the ideal size for your dog or to request a custom size specific to your dog and their requirements.
Large Dopamine Box
Our large dopamine box is generally suited for larger breeds such as larger sized German Shepherds, Rottweilers or similar & breeds with larger heads & of bigger stature as the box gives them ample space without being restrictive as they are also generally taller dogs which is reflected in the height of the box.
Medium Dopamine Box
Our medium dopamine box is suited to most large size breeds such as Labradors, Dutch Herders, Malinois, Vizla’s, GSP’s, some GSD’s or dogs of a similar size. Their smaller stature is taken into account with a slightly lower height but still provides ample interior space for the box feeding protocol.
Small Dopamine Box
Our small dopamine box is suited to slightly smaller/slight breeds which may include some Dutch Herders, Vizla’s, Labradors, Dalmatians, Collie’s or mixed breed dogs again having a slightly lower height to accommodate the smaller stature of the breeds & so they don’t have to stretch over & into the box.
Extra Small Dopamine Box
Our extra small dopamine box is suitable for Spaniels & some smaller breed dogs. It has an even lower height to allow them to reach into the box without restriction & the length & width is also smaller to not force them to stretch to reach around.
Mini Dopamine Box
Our mini dopamine box is especially for those small breeds such as Terriers and dogs of a similar size & stature. Super sized down this allows you to box feed with your small breed dogs without them getting in the box with the food!
When choosing the right size for your dog, please note that our sizing guide is intended as a general recommendation rather than a definitive measurement guide. Every dog is different, so we always recommend using a box or object of a similar height at home to help visualise the most comfortable option for your dog.
A good way to test this is by encouraging your dog to place their head over the box and reach down towards the floor, mimicking how they would access food inside the box. If the height is unsuitable, you may notice your dog placing their front paws into the box or leaning their shoulders and chest against the sides to reach comfortably.
